Written by Lilyana Kardzhaliyska | 10 September 2024

HubSpot continues to lead the way in providing businesses with powerful, user-friendly tools that enhance marketing, sales, and customer service. In August, HubSpot introduced several new updates. This month, we again spotlight five essential new features that are set to elevate your HubSpot experience.

Optimized Mobile Emailing

HubSpot's new Optimized Mobile Email Experience is a game-changer for marketers looking to enhance their email campaigns. With mobile devices accounting for a significant portion of email views, HubSpot has introduced features that allow for greater flexibility and control when designing emails for mobile audiences. These updates include the ability to:

  • Hide Modules/Sections: Easily hide specific content on mobile, ensuring a streamlined, relevant display.
  • Adjust Layouts: Customize layouts for mobile, keeping your emails visually appealing and readable.
  • Disable Column Stacking: Prevent automatic stacking of columns, maintaining your design's intended visual flow across devices.

You can access the optimized mobile email features in the HubSpot email editor under the design options. Simply choose the modules you want to customize, and you'll find settings to hide sections on mobile, adjust layouts, and manage column stacking directly within the editor.

This ensures that emails not only look great on mobile but are also tailored for optimal performance and user experience allowing for more personalized and visually appealing emails that significantly boost engagement and conversions. This feature is available for Marketing Pro and Enterprise users.

Marketing Home Page

HubSpot has introduced a new Marketing Home Page that is currently in Beta, offering marketers a centralized hub for all their activities. This new home page is designed to streamline workflows by providing easy access to key tools, performance metrics, and marketing insights—all in one place. The interface prioritizes ease of navigation, enabling users to quickly access campaign data, upcoming tasks, and recent performance at a glance.

The homepage is organized into several key sections:

  • Recently Worked On: Access a quick overview of your latest projects, allowing you to dive back into your work with ease.
  • Needs Attention: A central hub to track pending tasks and identify areas that require immediate action.
  • What’s Coming Up: View a list of upcoming activities from your Marketing Calendar, highlighting what’s scheduled for the day.
  • Approvals: A unified dashboard for managing approvals, categorized by their status (available in Marketing Enterprise only).
  • My Tasks: Keep track of all assigned marketing tasks, with convenient options to create, edit, or mark tasks as complete.

This feature is particularly valuable for marketing teams that manage multiple campaigns, as it consolidates everything into a single, user-friendly dashboard. By offering a more intuitive and organized workspace, HubSpot aims to help marketers save time, stay focused, and drive better results.

ChatSpot in HubSpot

The ChatSpot integration in HubSpot brings the power of conversational AI directly into the platform, enabling users to interact with their data more intuitively. ChatSpot is an AI-driven assistant that allows users to perform various tasks using natural language commands. Whether it's retrieving CRM data, generating reports, or executing marketing actions, ChatSpot simplifies complex processes by understanding and responding to text-based queries.

This tool is particularly useful for sales and marketing teams looking to save time and streamline their workflows by automating routine tasks. With ChatSpot, HubSpot continues to push the boundaries of how businesses interact with their data, making the platform even more user-friendly and efficient

How does it work?

Once you’re enrolled in the public beta, a new “ChatSpot” button will appear in your main navigation bar. Clicking this button opens a side panel where you can start chatting with ChatSpot, HubSpot’s AI assistant.

If you are unsure how to get started, you can try one of the suggested prompts or explore the prompt library for inspiration. Alternatively, you can simply ask, “Suggest something for me to do next,” and ChatSpot will guide you from there.

ChatSpot is available to all HubSpot users across all hubs and subscription tiers, making it an accessible tool for everyone looking to streamline their tasks and improve efficiency.

Store sensitive data in HubSpot's smart CRM

HubSpot’s latest update empowers super admins to create custom properties within the Smart CRM, specifically designed to securely store sensitive information such as government-issued IDs, low-risk financial details, or non-HIPAA-covered medical data. This enhancement is particularly valuable for industries like finance, insurance, and healthcare, where handling sensitive data is critical. With this update, organizations can fully leverage HubSpot’s platform to support their go-to-market strategies while ensuring data security.

This feature allows marketers to safely capture and utilize sensitive data in lead qualification, audience segmentation, and personalized campaigns. Sales teams can create more relevant connections with prospects and manage pipelines more effectively, while service teams can maintain a comprehensive view of customers to deliver superior support.

How does it work?

Super admins can enable sensitive data storage by configuring the settings under Privacy & Consent in HubSpot. Once activated, they can create custom properties and upload sensitive attachments with added encryption and access controls. It’s important to review the specific limitations and guidelines before enabling this feature, as certain sensitive data types are restricted from use in some HubSpot tools.

This capability is available to users on HubSpot’s Enterprise plans across the Customer Platform, Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, Content Hub, and Operations Hub.

Translate custom properties

HubSpot's new translation feature, allows admins to import translations for custom properties, pipelines, and object labels across HubSpot-supported languages. This update is particularly beneficial for multinational companies that need to provide consistent CRM experiences across different regions. Instead of creating separate properties for each language, admins can now manage a single property and use this tool to apply translations, ensuring users in different countries see the correct language within their CRM.

This feature simplifies the management of multilingual data within HubSpot, enhancing efficiency and reducing redundancy. It ensures that all users, regardless of their location, have a seamless and localized experience when interacting with custom CRM data, which is crucial for global teams.

How does it work?

Super admins and authorized users can access the Custom Data Translations option in the settings. They can export translation files, add custom translations, and re-import them, making the translated data instantly available for users operating in different languages. Currently, this feature supports custom property data, with more capabilities, like custom association label translations, planned for future updates.

This functionality is available to users across all HubSpot Enterprise plans.
